1. So, do you like beer?
No. I really don’t. The taste, the mild fizz, the fact in comes in pints…I just can’t drink it! I’ve tried many different kinds of beers and lagers, but I just don’t like the taste, volume or texture!
2. What’s your least favorite repetitive task?
ooh. Now. Washing dishes. Ironing (I just plain don’t iron anything anymore). Doing the monthly statistics at work. Filling the car with petrol. Oh, there are too many to choose from!
3. When was the last time you rode a bus? Where was it headed?
Last night! The bus was headed to Edinburgh Airport. I got off before it got to the airport. I get buses to and from work at least 3 times a week!
4. What song from your childhood or from your own children’s childhood could make a parent’s nerves stand on end?
“I know a song that’ll get on your nerves” is the one from my childhood that springs to mind. There’s also a kids song they used to sing at my church that my friend’s kid picked up called ‘Undefeated Champion‘. Even now if someone mentions that song I feel tense, and wonder who wrote it, where are they now, and a lot of very ungracious slightly violent thoughts follow! :)
5. The US Presidential election cycle is drawing to a close (can I get an AMEN??), and the third and final debate was held last night…what was the last thing you ‘debated about’?
Well, there’s been a lot of chat about 2 political debates recently. Firstly Scotland is likely to become the first country in the UK to legalise same-sex marriages. Secondly, the debate to reduce the gestational limit on ‘social’ abortions has been reintroduced recently. People keep either preaching to me about the first issue and asking my opinion on the second issue. Oh, and whether Scotland should become independent from the rest of the UK.
6. Can a person make too much money? How much is too much?
I don’t think a person can make too much money. I think a person can have too much stuff though. So it’s not about what you earn or are given – it’s about what you to with it that counts. Like if I had the resources to grow and make a lot of food but kept it all to myself and it was more than I could ever possibly eat – that’s just selfish, greedy and kinda dumb. But if I have those resources and use them wisely to benefit others directly or indirectly then that’s great and what a difference it could make. Having resources to make money or other things of value and not doing it is equally as selfish and silly!
7. Pop-soda-coke-something else…what’s it called where you live?
It’s either known by the brand name (e.g. fanta, pepsi, coke) but the generalised term is ‘fizzy juice’.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I made red velvet cupcakes for the first time at the weekend. They were yummy! I’m also down to my last portion of soup and last portion of apple, raspberry & blackberry crumble. Between that and the two hallowe’en parties I’ll be heading to next week I think I may be spending a lot of time in the kitchen this weekend. :)
